Today, the Canada Employment Insurance Commission made available the actuarial report and its summary for the 2027 Employment Insurance (EI) premium rate. The rate for 2027 is set at $1.64 per $100 of insurable earnings for employees and $2.30 for employers, who pay 1.4 times the employee rate. This rate will come into effect on January 1, 2027, and is equal to the 2025 rate.
